![]() ![]() Short animated sequences between each mission tell the story of Libyan resistance fighters joining with British soldiers and often suffering from their allies’ indiscriminate attacks on German strongholds there, but they treat the subject with barely any depth and little context for what’s going on. The aim is an admirable one, but in a confusing turn of events, CoH 3 then spends very little time and effort telling this story for most of the campaign. Tell me a storyĬompany of Heroes 3’s traditional campaign unfolds in north Africa, and it starts with a little note saying the goal is telling the stories of how World War 2 affected local populations, mainly the Jewish community in Benghazi. The commitment to shedding light on unheard perspectives from the war was one step too far, however, as Relic barely even scratches the surface. Its dual campaigns feature some of the best maps and intense strategy in the genre, and better still, Relic streamlined the experience so there’s much less frustration than in previous games. You can join the discussion on Company of Heroes 3's early PC system requirements on the OC3D Forums.Relic Entertainment is back with a new World War II story in Company of Heroes 3, and while “another World War II story” might seem like a cliche at this point, CoH 3 is anything but tired and rote. Processor: Intel i7 4 core processor, 8th Generation Processor: Intel i5 4 core processor, 8th Generation Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system These values would make sense for minimum and recommended amounts of video/GPU memory, assuming that the values below aren't completely bogus. It is possible that Relic has listed VRAM requirements within their PC system requirements under an inaccurate storage header. With this in mind, the system storage requirements listed below appear to be completely inaccurate. On Steam, our Company of Heroes 3 Pre Alpha Preview download was almost 20GB in size and Steam would only install the game when more than 30GB of storage was available. As such, we expect the final game to have much lower minimum GPU requirements. In time, we expect Relic to implement lower graphics settings into Company of Heroes 3 to accommodate lower-end PC hardware setups and older gaming laptops. GPU-wise, Relic lists Nvidia's GTX 1060 (or equivalent hardware) as Company of Heroes 3 Pre-Alpha Preview's minimum hardware requirement while recommending Nvidia's stronger GTX 1070. Practically all modern gaming PCs have at least four strong CPU cores, making Company of Heroes quad-core CPU requirements easy to overcome, even without the game's planned optimisations. The game's minimum and recommended processors for the free pre-alpha preview are a 4-core 8th Generation Intel i5 and a 4-core 8th Generation i7, respectively. On the CPU side, Company of Heroes 3 is designed to run on quad-core processors. That said, an Nvidia GTX 1060 isn't exactly a high-end graphics card by today's standards. ![]() Relic has confirmed that they plan to "continue optimising the game" and plan to "ensure the best performance on a wide variety of PC hardware", suggesting that the final game will have lower hardware requirements than today's demo. While Company of Heroes 3's early system requirements are subject to change, they give us a look at things to come. With this free preview version, Relic Entertainment has released early PC system requirements for their upcoming WWII RTS, and they should come as good news for most PC gamers. ![]() Company of Heroes 3 should be easy to run on modern gaming PCsĬompany of Heroes 3's Pre-Alpha preview is now available on Steam, allowing PC gamers to try out the latest WWII RTS long before its official launch. ![]()
